Ejike Favour Feeds Beggars In Anambra State.

Inspired by the need to alleviate the growing poverty and hunger on the streets of Anambra State, Ejike Favour Chiagozie of Favour Sams foundation with a large number of her team members took to the streets to feed the less privileged and homeless people in Anambra State yesterday, Sunday 18th of November, 2018.

This foundation according to Ejike Favour was born out of the need to help the beggars, challenged, needy women and struggling families in the society through health advocacy, empowerment, support programs, health and food outreach as a measure to mitigate the menace of hunger-related crimes in Anambra State.

Speaking after the tour, Ejike Favour expressed her Joy following the success of the tour, she said,

“I give God the Glory for the success we recorded today through our foundation, we were able to feed more than 450 beggars as we toured the streets of Nnewi, Awka and Onitsha, we gave them food, clothes, drinks, toiletries, money and other items.
I never knew a plate of rice can ignite happiness, the smiles I saw on the faces of the beggars today gave me fulfilment and great pleasure doing this charitable work.

While expressing optimism on the determination of her foundation to achieve its target in the area of taking beggars off the street, she said,

“The vision of the foundation is to bring the Beggars to everyone one’s doorstep. “Mother Theresa” the ancient charity guru once said “You don’t need to feed a hundred people, just feed one person and you have touched a hundred lives.
Operation Feed the Beggars is dedicated to creating a platform where every member of the society gets an opportunity every year to change a person’s life through their enormous contributions and participation.

“Our vision also is not only to feed beggars, we are looking in the area of engaging in health advocacy, empowerment, support programs for the beggars, we want to take beggars off the street through education and making them meaningfully engaged in other for them to be productive citizens in this country.

She therefore appealed to corporate organizations and institutions to support the foundation, this is a foundation that will impact directly on the welfare of the poor, security and economy of our country. Individuals are also urged to support the foundation,” Favour added.

Speaking further, Favour urged and encouraged individuals especially the privileged one to cultivate the habit of giving.

She said, “It time we play down on living in materialism and engaging in frivolous and expansive living, I wonder the Joy we have when we buy expansive cars and build houses worth billions, yet we have millions of people who are begging in the same country.

She finally thanked her sponsors and her entire team for their contributions,

“I want to appreciate my Mother, Ejike Kate, for her moral and financial contributions, I specially appreciate my sponsors, Cornel Charles Onwujiuba, CEO. SkyTour Oil/Lubricants, Dr. Famex, Chinedu Onodugo, Chumek hospital and maternity Awka, KC Onuorah, Sir. Okeke Kingsley, Batyeosky Enterprise, Vine Signatures, Tiana Events and my entire team, may the Almighty God bless them.

One of the sponsors of the foundation, Ejike Divine, the CEO of Vine Signatures, While speaking commended Ejike Favour for setting up the foundation and urged individuals to support her, “I believe that this foundation will inspire individuals and the society to develop a culture of love and care for one another, especially for the poor, she concluded.

Real Reasons I Lost 2015 Presidential Election — Goodluck Jonathan

“Some governors wanted to be Vice President whilst others strived to be the President. If I contested none could realize his ambition.

“As they jumped ship in preparation for the 2015 elections, only very few of this lots, if any at all, bothered about what the PDP did or did not do in terms of delivering our campaign promises. Their opposition to my re-election was principally driven by personal ambition.

The former president also said he faced a barraged of opposition from Northern leaders and the socio-political group who felt he was usurping power from the region.

“Throughout my tenure in office as President, there was constant barrage of what Donald Trump has now termed ‘fake news’ coming from a well-oiled media propaganda machine. I can say as a matter of fact that were never any snipers in training or already trained. There were no lists of political enemies to be taken out.

“There was no missing $49.8 billion and more importantly I can say that even those who made these and other allegations knew that they were false. This probably explains why many of these allegations died a natural death even as the echoes of my retreating footsteps still resounded nationally and globally,” he wrote.
