He was 83 years old at the time of his death.

The family of  Ikechukwu Nwosu in Obiuno Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, is ready to challenge one of their daughters, Mrs Chinwe Chukwudolue, in the court of law, following public embarrassment she caused the family at the burial of their son, late Mr Sunday Nwosu, who was buried on Saturday, November 24.

Mrs Chukwudolue, during the burial of her elder brother, Sunday Nwosu, on Saturday, opened the casket and shouted to the wider world that what was put into the casket was not the body of her late brother, Sunday, but a wooden image.

The story and video of the dramatic funeral went viral, causing untold embarrassment to the family.

Somto Chidera, a nephew to Mrs Chukwudolue, told Anaedooline that the embarrassment will cost the woman dearly, both physically and spiritually; adding that the family may contemplate dragging her to court for alleged defamation of character.

He said the body of his uncle, Sunday Nwosu, was in the mortuary of the Diocesan Hospital, Nnewi, close to three years; stressing that no corpse will remain in the mortuary for such long period without changing form.

He said further: “Two weeks before the burial, my father gave her invitation card for the burial ceremony. She did not care to come and know how preparations were going; neither did she call on the phone.

“This wicked woman did not contribute any kobo for the burial ceremony of her brother or give help in any form.

“On the day of the burial ceremony, she didn’t go to the mortuary to accompany my father to bring the corpse of her brother, Sunday Nwosu. My family paid N399,720 as the mortuary fee at Akwudo Hospital Mortuary, Nnewi.

“During the time the coffin was opened, this wicked woman went straight to it, tore the coffin and started shouting; shaking the coffin and lifting the corpse, saying that my daddy craved a wooden image, and said it was his brother. We wanted to act but people told us to leave her so that the burial would go without hitches”.

Shocking :Dead man wins election in U.S.

A dead man has been elected as a legislature in Nevada’s State Assembly, in the just concluded U.S. mid-term elections. Voters in Nevada just elected dead man Dennis Hof According to the Huffington Post, Mr Dennis Hof died unexpectedly in mid-October, but his name wasn’t scratched off the ballot under Nevada law.

The pro-Trump candidate still found favour with the voters and patrons of Hof’s Nevada brothel, even from the great beyond just to keep his memory alive.

Elections officials said that Republican Dennis Hof won a seat in Nevada’s State Assembly, with 53 percent of the vote in his Clark County, beating Democrat school administrator and political newcomer, Lesia Romanov, who amassed 47 percent of the vote. Hof had attempted to mould his political image on that of President Donald Trump, often referring to himself as “Trump from Pahrump” after his hometown in Nevada, according to reports.

The brothel owner, who ran an anti-establishment campaign, got into the crucial race after winning the primary but was not destined to see his political triumph. This October, Hof was found dead at Love Ranch, one of his legal brothels, after his 72nd birthday party, which featured guests such as legendary porn star Ron Jeremy and potential Republican Senate candidate Joe Arpaio. However, his name remained on the ballot in accordance with Nevada’s legislation, as the deadline for changing the roster had passed.

Despite the paradoxical outcome, there are procedures in place to ensure that when Hof’s posthumous victory is confirmed, local county commissioners may appoint another Republican to fill his seat.

This set the expectations of Hof’s campaign manager, Chuck Muth, high; as he suggested voters would still opt for the deceased Republican ahead of the General Elections. “They will feel much more comfortable casting the ballot for him, knowing there will be another Republican to replace him,” he said shortly after the pimp’s passing. Some mocked the U.S. election system for this rare occurrence.

Breaking News :Many Feared Dead As Policemen, Soldiers Open Fire On Shi’ites Again

As the face-off between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) continues in Abuja, security operatives have opened fire on members of the group, killing an unspecified number of members of the sect.

The incident took place on Monday at Nyanya checkpoint along Mararaba road.

The protesters, who were coming from Mararaba axis, were stopped by the armed policemen and soldiers drafted to mount a road block in the area.

The number of those killed could not be ascertained at the time of this report.

It was gathered that security operatives opened fire on the protesters at close range, as they advanced towards Abuja. It was also gathered that security agents used live ammunition on the protesters

This is the second time in two days that soldiers have opened fire on Shi’ites.

On Saturday, at least five followers of Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky were killed in a clash with soldiers in Zuba, Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.

The Shi’ites were in a procession from Suleja in Niger State to Abuja for the three-day mass march, tagged ‘Arbaeen Symbolic Trek’, scheduled to begin on Sunday.

It was gathered that when members of the sect approached a military checkpoint near Zuma motor park, the soldiers on duty refused to allow them to pass.

However, the directive did not go down well with the group and they insisted they would pass through the road.

Findings revealed that the Shi’ites later resorted to hurling stones at the soldiers, which led to pandemonium, as the soldiers were alleged to have opened fire on them, leading to the death of five people.

On Tuesday, Buhari said he reached out to Hauwa’s father, and described the telephone conversation as one no one

“I am reassuring everyone that the Fed Government will continue to do all within our power to protect not just humanitarian workers, but also everyone working or living in the North East. I salute our military, who continue to fight and strive hard to permanently neutralize Boko Haram.”

Breaking News:Boko Haram Killed One Hauwa Liman

The killing of healthcare worker Hauwa Liman by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram (even though it hates to be identified as one), on Monday was devastating news to Nigerians and the international aid community.

The 24-year-old nurse and student of Health Education at the University of Maiduguri was among the three aid workers abducted by the insurgents in an attack on a heavily-guarded military facility in the small town of Rann, Borno State on March 1, 2018.

Aside Liman, the insurgents also abducted Alice Loksha Ngaddah, a nurse and mother of two, and Saifura Husseini Ahmed, a midwife. They killed four soldiers and four policemen as well.

Ngaddah’s aged mother died unexpectedly in April as a result of the trauma of her daughter’s abduction, while Saifura was killed in September.

In publishing the story, some blogs and newspapers — SaharaReporters not included — went online to source the photo of the slain aid worker, but they got the wrong one.

No one would have thought there were two not-too-dissimilar Hauwa Limans, but that’s exactly what has happened. And the Hauwa Liman, who is alive and whose picture has been wrongly used, is very displeased.

How My father Was Beaten To Death Inside Police Station-Ebenezer Israel Inya

An 18- year- old undergraduate, Ebenezer Israel Inya has accused policemen attached to Kpirikpiri Police Division, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital of beating his father, Israel Inya Aluu to death while in their custody.

The incident, according to Ebenezer, happened on Wednesday August 28, 2018, after he was arrested alongside his father and some of his friends at the Assemblies of God Church beside their house.

It was learnt that Ebenezer, who lives on 4 Nri Street, and his friends were playing football on the street when their ball flew into the compound of the church located on No 2 Nri Street.

The church officials then allegedly invited a policewoman, who is also a member of the church, to arrest the boys and Ebenezer’s father for allegedly disturbing the church programme by playing football around the premises.

Ebenezer explained that they had earlier quarrelled with the gateman of the church after he seized their ball when it fell into the church premises.

“I was playing football with my friends when the ball entered the Assemblies of God premises. We met the gateman and pleaded with him to release the ball to us but he refused and started insulting us, we then engaged him in a quarrel”

“The pastor’s daughter came in and asked us what was happening and we told her that our ball flew into their premises, urging her to get it back”.

“She promised to plead with the man to release the ball to us. After sometime, we returned to the church and pleaded with the gateman to release the ball to us, but he started exchanging words with us. The senior pastor of the church too came out and started insulting us, while the pastor’s children and worshippers started attacking us. They later asked us to go to our house so that the crisis could be resolved and we went back to our house”.

He said some members of a para- military outfit attached to the church later lured him into the church premises where a policewoman arrested them.

“I was about taking my bath in order to come to our shop at Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) at the police headquarters when two security men came to me and asked me to come with them to apologize to the pastor so that peace could reign. I insisted that I will not go anywhere, but they threatened to call in the military if I don’t resolve the matter their way.

“When we got to the church we saw a policewoman who was on maternity leave and was wearing mufti came with a handcuff to arrest us and we asked the offence we committed and insisted she must tell us our offence. She refused to give us the reasons and locked the gate. They started beating us inside the church. My dad who was in our house heard about it and rushed to the church. He said they should stop beating us again and that we should all go to the police station to iron things out.
“They insisted that they were not going to the police station but must do everything inside the church. When they saw that the pressure was high, the policewoman took us out of the gate and started beating us. We got to the station with my dad and they detained all of us including my brother and beat us mercilessly.

‘’They (policemen) asked my dad to follow them to a room, and my father went in with them together with the leaders of the Assemblies of God Church. The next thing I saw was when they (policemen) came and released us and asked us to come and carry our father’s body”.

Contacted, police spokesman, Loveth Odah confirmed the incident, saying: “On August 29, 2018, the Divisional Police Officer( DPO) of Kpirikpiri Division, said that there was a call from the Assemblies of God Church at Nri Street, Kpirikpiri, that (some) children were playing football and they played into the church premises.

“So the security officer whose name I do not know seized the ball, because he said that it was a regular thing which he said disturbed the occupants during the church hour.

“So, yesterday unfortunately the ball entered there and the security officers seized it. According to them, children started throwing stones on top of the zinc roof of the church. Along the line, the security officer decided to open the door to see who was doing it.

“He saw the two children who were doing it. He accosted them into the premises and now called the policewoman who had handled their matter before.

“The policewoman was actually on maternity leave. She was passing through the church to go and fill her gas cylinder.According to her, she parked her bike and entered inside (the church) to see what was happening.

“The security man opened the door for her and the access paved the way for their father to enter with her into the church premises. According to the policewoman, they were all judging the matter as children’s play.

“But the father to the children insisted that since he has accosted the children inside, by so doing, (they were)illegally detaining them, so the police must be aware of it. The policewoman assisted them to the police station and went her own way because she was not on official duty”.

Contacted, the pastor in charge of the church, Reverend Joseph Nwakpakpa refused to comment on the matter. He instead warned our reporter to stop disturbing him.
